Endodontics Advanced Education Clinic

Endodontics is the specialty branch of dentistry that treats problems with the dental pulp, the tissue inside each tooth.

A root canal procedure is a treatment during which the pulp is cleaned out; then the space is disinfected and filled in order to save the natural tooth. After a root canal procedure, the tooth will still require a filling and/or a crown to properly protect the tooth.

Residents in the Department of Endodontics at LSUSD treat patients in the clinic under the guidance of faculty members.

To be seen in our specialty clinic, patients must be formally referred by their dentist. Once their dentist has sent a referral form or letter to the school, you will be contacted by the Endodontics appointment desk to schedule an appointment. The appointment desk contact phone number is 504-941-8402.

A referral form can be found by clicking on this link:  LSU Endo Referral Form. Your dentist can fill out the form and fax it to 504-941-8400 or email it to Endodontics@lsuhsc.edu.

In the endodontics clinic, payment in full is required prior to initiation of treatment.

The endodontic clinic is located on the 4th floor of the LSUSD Clinic Building.
