The
Importance of Annual
Gifts
Although we sometimes
hear about mega one-time
gifts given to a
university or nonprofit,
the majority of
philanthropic gifts come
in smaller sums made by
many people on an annual
basis. These smaller, more
regular, gifts provide
important ongoing support
for colleges, universities
and nonprofit
organizations.

For the LSUHSC School of
Dentistry, annual gifts
are vital, funding
essential academic
programs, campus
improvements and community
outreach initiatives that
would otherwise not be
possible.
Any gift at any level is
appreciated and you may
choose to direct your
donation to a program,
department or designate
your gift as unrestricted.
Unrestricted gifts are
especially important as
they allow the dean to
tailor financial support
to programs of the highest
priority.
Some of our closest
supporters choose to give
generously at a leadership
level of $1,000 or more
annually. They commit to
participating in one or
more of the following
giving programs:
| Committee
of 100.
Committee of 100
members have
contributed to
excellence in dental
education at LSUSD
since 1995. |
| Education
Leadership Fund.
Leadership level
gifts provide Dean
Gremillion with the
flexibility to
ensure that LSUSD
remains on the
cutting edge of
dental education. |
| Reunion
Class Gift
Challenge.
For the past 15
years, classes who
are celebrating a
reunion contribute a
collective gift to
the school at the
annual LSUSD Alumni
Reception in the
spring. |
