                                                  is in Top 3% Dr. Jennifer Finney, a
                                              recent graduate of LSUSD,
                                              is one of 18 pediatric
                                              dentists nationwide to be
                                              awarded the Richard C.
                                              Pugh Award for scoring in
                                              the top three percent on
                                              the qualifying exam for
                                              the American Academy of
                                              Pediatric Dentistry. A
                                              total of 491 dentists took
                                              the qualifying exam. Dr. Finney received her
                                              DDS from LSUSD in 2007 and
                                              two years later earned her
                                              certificate in pediatric
                                              dentistry, also from
                                              LSUSD. She is in a private
                                              practice called Kids
                                              Dental Zone in Alexandria,
                                              Louisiana, her home town.
                                              The practice includes her
                                              father, Dr. Richard R.
                                              Brasher Jr., and her
                                              sister, Dr. Anna Brasher
                                              Moreau. Dr. Pugh, for whom the
                                              award is named, was the
                                              educational management
                                              consultant for the
                                              American Board of
                                              Pediatric Dentistry for 28
                                              years. He retired in 1998. |
