Jorge Palavicini, DDS

Dr. Jorge Palavicini, associate professor of prosthodontics, has more than 20 years of experience in implant dentistry, full-mouth rehabilitation, and maxillofacial prosthetics. Originally from Mexico City, he earned his dental degree and completed a prosthodontic residency at Universidad Intercontinental. He later completed a fellowship in implant dentistry at LSUSD.
Dr. Palavicini’s clinical focus in Faculty Dental Practice includes comprehensive restorative and implant dentistry, as well as complex maxillofacial prosthetic rehabilitation. He works closely with the oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMFS) team and head and neck cancer surgeons to restore patients undergoing maxillofacial reconstruction, offering solutions such as surgical obturators, facial prostheses, and implant-supported restorations.
Before joining LSUSD, Dr. Palavicini practiced prosthodontics in Mexico City for over 18 years and lectured across Mexico and Central America. Since 2016, he has been a full-time faculty member at LSUSD, teaching in both the undergraduate and residency programs. He remains deeply committed to education and enjoys combining clinical excellence with teaching the next generation of dentists.
He also brings a creative touch to his dental work, having collaborated with the film industry to create prosthetic teeth and character-enhancing dental work for movies and television.
