
Dr. Amir H. Nejat is associate professor of prosthodontics at LSUSD. He received his
DDS from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in Mashhad, Iran. Before joining the
University of Alabama at Birmingham to complete his Master’s in Dental Materials,
he maintained a full-time private practice. He then came to LSUSD where he received
his MSD and completed the advanced education program in prosthodontics. Dr. Nejat
currently maintains a part-time private practice limited to prosthodontics in the
Dental Faculty Practice clinic. Dr. Nejat specializes in and is passionate about aesthetics
and functional rehabilitations, including crowns, veneers, implant restorations, partial
and complete dentures, single-implant and full-arch implant restorations, and temporomandibular
joint (TMJ) disorders.
