Class Ambassador Program
Class ambassadors serve as leaders and advocates for the mission of the LSU Health New Orleans School of Dentistry (LSUSD) by communicating to their fellow classmates the school's current vision of excellence in dental education. The School's goal is to recruit three to five class ambassadors for each graduating class who will, with the assistance of the LSUSD Alumni Association Board of Directors:
- promote the School of Dentistry to alumni, prospective students, governmental policy makers, potential donors, and other stakeholders;
- serve as a sounding board for the dean with regard to dental education, community outreach, and alumni involvement;
- increase communication among classmates via the LSUSD website and email;
- increase the School's core of volunteers;
- serve as the initial contact for class reunions every five years;
- commit annual financial support to LSUSD education, research, and student activities;
- attend an annual lunch with the School's leadership on Alumni Day to learn about current LSUSD strategic plans, events, and activities.
