Overview

LSUHSC School of Dentistry's forced relocation to Baton Rouge following Hurricane Katrina in 2005 directly resulted in its newest and largest satellite clinic at LSU South Campus. Located five miles south southwest of LSU's main campus, the dental clinic provides oral health care to the underserved population of the greater Baton Rouge area. LSUSD students and residents provide quality dental care in a state-of-the-art 78-chair clinic located at the campus. All dental care is carefully monitored by full- and part-time faculty members. The cost of care is usually less then half of that of a private dentist.

Patient
Information

Currently, the clinic offers treatment in dental hygiene, comprehensive and limited specialty dentistry for adults as well as pediatric dentistry.

The dental clinic is open all year, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., except for scheduled school holidays.

Please call (225) 334-4934 Monday through Friday (8:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.) to schedule an appointment. Patients are treated by appointment only. Due to the number of patients treated and the nature of the student clinic, there may be a waiting period.

In the event of a dental emergency during non-clinic hours, please contact your student dentist first. If you cannot reach your student dentist, please call (504) 456-5322.
