Dental Hygienist is One of Ten in America

Susan S. Parker, RDH, M.Ed., MBA, assistant professor in the Department of Periodontics, is one of ten hygienists in America chosen by Proctor and Gamble to attend the Champions Conference of the American Dental Association (ADA).

Susan Parker, RDH, M.Ed., MBA, is headed for the ADA Champions Conference in Chicago.

Her selection is the result of completing specialized training by the ADA Council on Scientific Affairs and the Center for Evidence-Based Dentistry to become an Evidence Reviewer. She was the only hygienist chosen to attend this training on critical appraisal of scientific literature. The Champions Conference, to be held in Chicago in March, will provide further training in how to develop a practical approach to integrating scientific evidence into patient care.

For the last six years, Parker has been a peer reviewer for professional journals. Her article entitled, "The Core of Ergonomic Practice", was published in the January 2010 edition of Dimensions of Dental Hygiene.
