CDC bioterrorism videos
Since the events of September 11, 2001, the Centers for Disease Control has produced broadcasts addressing threats to the global community.  Both the dental and Isché libraries own videotapes of these programs.  The first  broadcast, "Anthrax: What Every Clinician Should Know," was followed by

Coping with Bioterrorism: the Role of the Laboratorian
Bioterrorism and the Infection Control Community
Biological and Chemical Warfare and Terrorism: Medical Issues and Response
Smallpox: What Every Clinician Should Know
Update on West Nile Virus for Clinicians and Laboratorians
CDC Bioterrorism Update: Smallpox Preparedness
Clinical Management of Adverse Events Following Smallpox Vaccination: a National       Training Initiative
Public Health Community Preparedness for Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).

The library has 2 additional bioterrorism tapes from the U.S. Army series Advanced Topics on Medical Defense Against Biological and Chemical Agents:

Smallpox: Recognition and Response
Chemical Threat Agents: the Community Provider's Perspective

Each program is over an hour long, and several titles include more than one videocassette.  All of the tapes in the dental library are shelved behind the circulation desk.  For additional information on public health emergency preparedness, go to the CDC website at http://www.bt.cdc.gov/.   Also, the Innopac record for many of these tapes includes a link to the program webcast on the CDC website.
