twenty-four-month course of study includes (1)
seminars in clinically oriented basic sciences,
(2) instruction in advanced clinical procedures,
including minor tooth movement, (3) training in
hospital procedure, including general anesthesia,
(4) experiences in providing comprehensive dental
health for handicapped children and (5) courses in

project is required for certification. The program
has been planned in accordance with the standards
of the Commission on Dental Accreditation Advanced
Specialty Education Programs in Pediatric
Dentistry and is accredited by the American Dental
Association, Commission on Dental Accreditation.
Upon completion of the program, the postgraduate
student receives a certificate in pediatric
