APPLICATION

The Advanced Education in Endodontics program at LSU School of Dentistry uses PASS. The ADEA / PASS website http://www.adea.org/ has detailed instructions for applicants. TOEFL scores are required for all foreign applicants. GRE scores are not required but are highly recommended for applicants who have been out of an academic environment for more than 5 years, for graduates of foreign dental schools, and for graduates of dental schools that do not report class standing. In addition to the required PASS application, LSU requires that applicants send a $30.00 application fee and a passport-type photograph directly to LSU.

The application deadline is September 1. Invitations for a personal interview during September are extended to those candidates who are most seriously being considered. Previous research experience, especially in endodontics, will strengthen the candidate's application. Practice experience beyond dental school such as private practice, military practice, general dentistry residency, etc., will also strengthen the applicant's credentials.

Candidates are selected and recommended for acceptance into the program by the endodontic faculty, but must be approved by the Advanced Education Committee and by the Dean of the School of Dentistry. Upon notification of acceptance, an acceptance deposit is required. This deposit is credited toward payment of fees.
