Bachelor in Dental Hygiene:
32 Louisiana Residents in the New Orleans program
6 Louisiana Residents in the Lafayette program
6 Louisiana Residents in the Baton Rouge program

Associates or Bachelor Degree in Laboratory Technology
12 students annually (no residency requirements)

Someone who has resided in Louisiana for at least one year.

7. Is dental care provided free of charge?

No, dental care is not provided free of charge. If a student or resident provides the care, the fee is typically 50% of what a private dentist might charge. In Faculty Practice, the cost is comparable to a private dental practice as care is provided by LSUSD faculty. The school does accept Medicaid and dental insurance.

8. Does LSUSD have other clinics in other parts of Louisiana?

Yes, the school has three satellite clinics in Alexandria, Baton Rouge and Lafayette. Students and residents provide care in 22 locations statewide.
