Faculty Dental Practice

In the LSUSD Faculty Dental Practice, faculty members provide state of the art dental care. Patients benefit from an environment where education, research and patient care collectively come together, and where innovation, learning and best practices are the norm. Faculty are able to stay abreast of the latest techniques in dental care, learn about recent research breakthroughs and technological advancements in dentistry, and enjoy the opportunity to easily consult with colleagues and specialists on difficult cases. General dentists and specialists are available to provide care.

In contrast to the Student Clinics, patients can expect an experience similar to what one might expect in a private dental office. Faculty Dental Practice is open to all patients, and fees are comparable to those charged by private dentists. The clinic is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays.

Your First Appointment
As part of the first visit, patients are asked to provide a complete dental and medical history. Therefore, please arrive a few minutes early. After your first appointment, the clinic will set up subsequent appointments at the convenience of both the patient and the faculty member. As faculty have teaching responsibilities, they have set times and days in which they participate in Faculty Dental Practice.

To save time before your first appointment, please print the four forms below, fill them out as completely as possible, and bring them with you to the clinic.  (If you are seeing an orthodontist, oral surgeon, or pediatric dentist, you will fill out different forms)
