Our Services

We provide many services at the Faculty Dental Practice. Click on a Service or scroll for a description and list of doctors specializing in that field.

Adult General Dentistry

Provides comprehensive dental services to diagnose, treat and prevent diseases of the teeth and gums. Faculty create treatment plans to map-out each of their patient's dental care needs. A few of the treatment services faculty can provide include: tooth-colored restorations, tooth whitening (bleaching), crowns, fixed partial dentures (bridges), athletic mouth guards, and bite guards for occlusal (bite) problems.

Cleanings and Prevention

Our dental hygienists provide cleanings for any patients in the Faculty Dental Practice and work in close collaboration with the patient’s providing doctor.

Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology

Provides microscopic diagnostic and clinical consultative services for patients with oral lesions.

Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology

Provides services in the radiographic investigation of the oral (mouth) and maxillofacial region including: sinuses, temporomandibular (jaw) joints, and related structures and the imaging of dental implant sites. Faculty accomplish this through the taking radiographs (x-rays) or CT scans.

Orofacial Pain

Provides services in the management of chronic orofacial pain and other sensory disorders including: temporomandibular (jaw) disorders (TMD), chronic post-traumatic pain, and maxillofacial nerve injuries.

Orthodontics

Provides treatment to correct irregularities of the teeth and jaws and to improve the facial appearance. Comprehensive orthodontic services are available for children and adults, including surgical orthodontics.

Pediatric Dentistry

Provides preventive and dental care for children from infancy through adolescence. Services include current preventive measures and sealants, restoration of primary and young permanent teeth, management of hard and soft tissue pathology (diseases) and traumatic injuries. Space maintainers and minor tooth movement appliances are provided when indicated.


Periodontics

Provides services that include the prevention and treatment of diseases of the gums and supporting tissues of the teeth; includes treatment of cosmetic problems such as gum recession and overgrowth; surgical placement of dental implants.

Prosthodontics

Provides services that include complete dentures and overdentures, removable partial dentures, precision attachment partial dentures, implant restorations, crowns, and fixed partial dentures (bridges). One faculty member provides maxillofacial appliances such as replacements for missing noses, ears and other facial parts.
