Important Application Tips

Applications for the 2012 cycle are now closed.

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS

APPLY EARLY!
• LSUSD maintains a rolling admissions policy. Applications are reviewed and decisions to interview individual candidates are made at regular intervals beginning October 1st. Interviews are conducted and the selection process of each candidate for admission is made until the class is filled.

• Interviews are required for admission consideration and are scheduled 3-4 weeks in advance. The first offers of admission are extended on December 1.

• In order for your application to be reviewed in time for fall interviews, LSUSD must receive your completed application much earlier than the November 1 deadline.

LETTERS OF EVALUATION
• A letter of evaluation from your Pre-Professional Committee (preferred, if available) or two letters of evaluation from Basic Science Professors sent directly to AADSAS.

APPLICATION FEE
• Send $50 check (payable to LSUHSC) to LSUSD. Your application is not complete until we receive your application fee.

DAT SCORES
• Each applicant must complete the DAT and have the official results sent to this school. (Through AADSAS)

• Applicants to LSUSD should not delay submitting their AADSAS application until they receive DAT results. A DAT score needs to be submitted by November 1. If you are retaking, be sure to update your scores on the AADSAS portal.

• The DAT should be taken (or retaken) no later than October 1 in order that your scores will reach LSUSD by our application deadline of November 1. It is strongly recommended that the applicant take the DAT prior to the June AASDAS application process

SUPPLEMENTAL APPLICATIONS
• LSUSD Supplemental Applications will be e-mailed to those who qualify.
